Lisbon -Barbara A. Kiehl, 68, of Hunter Camp Road went home to be with the
Lord at 9:25 AM Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at her home following a brief illness.
Born November 22, 1940 in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Ernest
G. and Mabel J.K. (Strodhoff) Moore.
She worked as an administrative aide at the Community Action Agency and prior
to that as a senior aide at David Anderson High School. In addition, she was the
proprietor of the Clearwater Tropic Shop in Lisbon for 16 years.
Barbara was a friendly person with a zest for life. She enjoyed people, cooking,
gardening, and reading.
Surviving is her husband, Laverne A. Kiehl, whom she married December 31,
1957; a son William L. Kiehl and a daughter, Penny S. (Ron) Coleman both of Lisbon;
four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
A brother, William, G. Moore, is deceased.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the Weber Funeral Home with the
Rev. Mark Wilds of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in
Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
