Lisbon -Carolyn Marie Chuey, 67, of Thomas Road died at 8:15 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in the emergency room at Salem Hospital.
Born January 15, 1942 in Lisbon, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Stella (Gryzmala) Marshalek.
She had worked at JoAnn Fabrics in Calcutta for more than ten years and cleaned St. George Catholic Church for more than thirty years.
A member of St. George Catholic Church, she was a 1960 graduate at Lisbon David Anderson High School.
Survivors include her son Chris (Melody) Chuey of Salineville; grandchildren Destiny, Cami, and Joe Chuey; a sister, Victoria (David) Weir, and brothers Robert (Iris) Marshalek and Jacob Marshalek all of Lisbon; step-sisters Joann (Chick) Ashton, Charleen (Larry) McPherson, and Betty (Jon) Reynolds.
Her husband, Joseph Chuey, Jr., whom she married November 27, 1966 died in 2005. Also deceased is her step-father, Charles Lederle
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at St. George Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at the Weber Funeral Home.
