Colleen D. (Louden) Fay

August 10, 1939 — June 30, 2016

Colleen Delores Fay, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday morning after a long illness. She was married for 33 years to Michael E. Fay, who passed away in April. One of 14 siblings, Colleen is survived by her sister, Barbara Riley, and her brother, Freddie (Donna) Louden, both of Clarksburg, WV; her stepchildren, Kristin (Sam) Elson of Centreville, VA, and Michael P. (Missy) Fay of Haymarket, VA; four step-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

Born August 10, 1939, in Gilmer County, WV, near Clarksburg, Colleen lived most of her adult life in the restaurant business, as a waitress for 22 years at the Lantern Restaurant in Akron, OH, and as a hostess and waitress at Wally Waffle Restaurant, also in Akron. In 1995, she and Michael purchased a “mom-and-pop” restaurant in Lisbon, well-known as Colleen’s Place.

Colleen lived a hard-working life, as a child growing up on the family farm in West Virginia, to her waitressing days in Akron, to ownership of the restaurant in Lisbon.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Tina Gallaher officiating. Burial will be at Lisbon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 2341 East State Street, Suite B, Salem, Ohio 44460.
