Salineville -Daniel Clyde Saling, Jr., 46, of SR 39 died at 2:20 AM Sunday June 7, 2009 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
Born February 24, 1963 in Salem, he was the son of the late Daniel C. and Helen Rae (Beers) Saling.
An electrician by trade, he had taught apprenticeship classes. He was a dedicated football coach and a behavioral mentor at Southern Local High School where he was also an assistant track coach.
A member of St. George Catholic Church, he was an auctioneer for benefit events for several organizations and for more than twenty years raised show quality and market hogs. He was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 2216 in Lisbon, past president of Southern Local Alumni Association, Vice-President of the Booster Club, a member of the Quad County Coaches Association; was an active promoter of 4-H; past member of the National Swine Association and Ohio Pork Producers
Survivors include his wife, the former Nancy Jo Haren, whom he married October 1, 1988; three daughters, Julia Rae, Jennifer Rose, and Natalie Jo Saling all at home; a sister, Heather (Diana Anderson) Saling of Columbus as well as six nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. George Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Edwards, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Dungannon. Calling hours will be from noon to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday at the Weber Funeral Home in Lisbon.

The school will be open and counselors available from 10 AM until 2 PM today ( Monday).
