Salem - Dean K. Adams, 87, formerly of Lisbon, died early Friday, March 28, 2014 at Blossom Nursing Home.
Born June 29, 1926 in Lisbon, he was the son of the late Wilbert L. and L. Pearl (Eells) Adams.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Ferris Coal Company for many years. He retired in 1992. He was a lifetime farmer, operating the family farm on Roller Coaster Road.
Dean leaves his wife, the former Dorothy M. (Shearer) Adams, whom he married October 15, 1949; two children: Doreen (Michael) Smith of Pataskala, OH and Dennis (Bonnie) of Lisbon; three grandchildren: Dawn (Greg) DeCarlo, Andrew Adams, and Matthew (Maratha) Adams; step-grandchildren Dustin and Drew Hannay; a sister Jean Ann (Alfred) Cook of Lisbon, and three great-grandchildren.
His brother Don Adams is deceased.
There will be a private family service Sunday at Weber Funeral Home. Burial will in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
