Deborah Pilmer

Lisbon -Deborah Pilmer, 59, Sherman Street, died at 5:10 PM Friday, December 18, 2009 at Salem Community Hospital.



She was born January 13, 1950, the daughter of the late Jack Pilmer and the late Shirley Pilmer Hempstead and lived in Lisbon all her life.



She graduated from David Anderson High School in 1968 and Ashland University in 1972. She taught second grade at McKinley Elementary School in Lisbon for thirty years, retiring in 2002.



She was a member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church and former Trinity Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and played in the handbell choir. She also belonged to the Lisbon Music Study Club and was on the board of directors of Stage Left Players.



She is survived by a sister, Jodine Pilmer of Guilford Lake; two step-sisters, Linda Hempstead of Alliance and Kay Marshalek of Lisbon; a nephew Stosh (Jennifer) Marshalek of Lisbon; a niece, Katie (Mike) Jones of Lisbon and two great nieces, Anna and Madelyn Marshalek.



Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home. A private service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Lisbon Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Wilds officiating.
