Lisbon -Donald R. Bartholow, 76, passed away quietly surrounded by his family at his home at 3:00 AM Thursday, July 22, 2010.
Born January 19, 1934 in Lisbon, he was a son of the late Ralph E. Bartholow and Dorothy (Dotson) Bogdan.
He worked as a self-employed house painter for many years, having painted many homes in Columbiana County,
A member of Greenford Christian Church, he enjoyed flying and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He was an avid lover of Native American culture and history.
Survivors include his wife Lydia (Iwanicki) Bartholow whom he married October 9, 1987; 6 children: Cody (Dwayne) Hill of Salem, Alan Kit (Linda) Bartholow of Mesa, AZ, Kelly (Dan) Komo of Dunnellon, FL, Christy (Mark) Pastircak of Hanoverton, Cindy (Darryl Davis) McHugh of Rogers, Ray H. Bartholow of Pittsburgh; step-daughter Shane Connor of Cleveland; grandchildren Brent Slider, Haley and Devan Pastircak; his friend and first wife JoAnn Bartholow of Columbiana; as well as siblings Arley (Darlene) Bartholow of Columbiana, Twila Weisenberger of Virginia; and half-brothers Harold and Ralph Bartholow.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Lewis officiating. Friends may call6 to 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
