Lisbon -Elizabeth Ann Peterson, 88, passed away at 7:54 PM Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Salem Community Hospital.
Born February 10, 1922 in Cameron, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Anna M. (McDermott) Dawson.
She had worked with her husband Alton R. 'Bud' Peterson for more than thirty years at the Lisbon Boot Shop.
A graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, she was a member of the First Christian Church of Lisbon and the Lisbon Historical
Society. She enjoyed travel, sewing, crocheting, and baking.
Survivors include two daughters: Mary Elizabeth (Thomas) Brunelli of Powhatan, VA and Susan Kathleen Peterson of Houston, TX; grandchildren Tiffany Cerniglia, Laura and Matthew Brunelli, Richey, Gregorio, and Giovanna and Lillian Puntarelli.
She was preceded in death on March 20, 2007 by her husband, Alton R. 'Bud' Peterson whom she married March 4, 1943. A brother, Robert Dawson is also deceased.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Weber Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Sinclair officiating. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may visit 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
