Lisbon -Gary L. Johnson, 72, of West Washington Street died at 11:41 PM Friday, December 25, 2009 at home following a lengthy illness.
Born April 17, 1937 in Lisbon, he was a son of the late Carl E. and Grace (Griffith) Johnson.
He had owned and operated Johnson's Barber Shop in Lisbon since 1963.
A 1956 graduate of David Anderson High School, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lisbon, the East Liverpool Beagle Club and was a Golden Age Eagle member of F.O.E. Aerie 2216.
Survivors include his wife Patricia A. (Coury) Johnson whom he married July 22, 1994; daughters Vicki (Dave) Clark of Mentor and Karen Menough of Salem; sons Kirk (Sonya) Johnson of Fredricksburg, VA and Steven (Karen) Johnson of Lisbon; step-sons William (Michelle) Guenther, Jr. of Cranberry, PA and David Guenther of Las Vegas; step-daughter Margie (Timmy) Lakatos of South Park, PA; brothers Ronald (Judy) Johnson of Bridgeville, PA, Lany (Janice) Johnson of Leaper, PA, and Dennis (Marion) Johnson of Salem; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
His sister Sandra Williams is deceased.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert DeLong officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM Monday at the funeral home.
