Lisbon -Gaylord Arthur Wright, 76, of Applegate Road went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 1:45 AM Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Pleasant View North nursing home.
Born April 15, 1935 in Lisbon, he was a son of the late Ray T. and Laura Mae (Wycoff) Wright.
He drove truck for several companies before retiring in 1991.
Gaylord was a member of Harvest Baptist Church and Teamsters Local 421 and 92. He enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, the former Bethel F. Bailey, whom he married June 16, 1962; two children: Darryl W. (Becky) Manns and Marlene (Jerome) Chuey, both of Lisbon; brothers William (Jean) Wright of Salem, Paul (Ruby) Wright of Lisbon, and John (Carol) Wright of Dayton; 5 grandchildren: Amanda Manns, Angela Gabbard, Tonya Burkett, Amy McCoy, and Michael Reynolds, Sr.; and 9 great-grandchildren: Nakita and Livia Gabbard, Kayla and Emma Burkett, Erika and Chase McCoy, Austin Cappitti, Paige Reyolds, and Michael Reynolds,Jr.
His sister Patricia Irwin is deceased.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Laughlin officiating. Calling hours are from 11:00 AM until the time of service Monday. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.
