Glen was born in Lisbon June 13, 1942 a son of the late Daniel H. and Martha Shriver Helman and has lived here all his life.
He was employed as a truck driver for many years at R +L Carriers. He was a Catholic by faith. He enjoyed shooting pool, truck and horse pulls and harness racing. He was a former member of the Lisbon Eagles.
Glen was a loving grandfather, dad, and husband and is survived by his wife Patricia LaVonne Morris Helman; a daughter Michele (Jim) Shaffer of Lisbon; a son Chris of Lisbon; 4 grandchildren, Zach and Mickenzie Shaffer, and Nicholas and Aubriana Helman; 2 brothers, Danny (Christal) Helman of Gavers; and John Helman of Lisbon; a sister Sherri (Steph) Helman of Cincinnati; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Bob Helman.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Weber Funeral Home with Dana Blackburn officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m Tuesday.
