Lisbon- Gregory J. Mayernik, 57, died Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital following a brief illness.
Greg was born November 4, 1958 in Salem, OH, to the late Stephen and Mildred (Brunt) Mayernik.
He was an outside machinist by trade. He lived in Connecticut for more than 20 years where he worked for Electric Boat. In 2004 he returned to Ohio in 2004.
He was a 1977 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School and an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Braves, the Lakers, and the Rams, but the most important part of his life was his family.
Survivors include his wife Deborah D. (Boyd) Mayernik, his children, Jason (Heather) Mayernik of Norwich, CT, and daughter, Jessica Mayernik of Lompoc, CA; his grandchildren: Kahleal, Keyan, Kaison, and Kyden Mayernik as well as his sister, Stephanie (Peter) Cibula of Beaverton, OR, and brothers, Brian (Kathy) Conrad of Parrish, FL and Larry Conrad of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Shoaff officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
