Lisbon : Our extraordinary Mom, Harva Sue Blocksom, 72, who did not like her name, hence: The Harv, Sis, Harley, Harvita, Mamasita Mom, Ma, Mrs. B, Grandma B and best friend, courageously requested to come home after winning her battle against The China Virus. At a moment notice, Christine at Northstar Ambulance, jumped into action to deliver her home. Harva has now begun her eternal life in Heaven with her Father, “Fast Freddy” Pastore and Mother, “Big Ruth”, brother, Michael “Zookie” and niece Dena Lynn Heinze. Her family and close friends were by her side when she decided to take the magic carpet ride on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Born January 31, 1949 in Salem, she was a daughter of the late Frederick A. and Ruth Ann (Willis) Pastore.
A life-long area resident, she owned and operated Eells-Leggett Fashion Floors for thirty years and loved her customers and team like family. She worked with her son to develop multiple businesses and was an invaluable asset to every team she was on.
She was a lifelong member of St. George Roman Catholic Church and celebrated her faith every day in how she lived. Harva was the tallest person in her kindergarten class. She was made fun of for this fact, so she vowed to not speak ill of others for the rest of her life. God rewarded her with a max height of five foot along with her daughter, and for us, the knowledge that “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all;” She was the best of us, and she will be greatly missed by all that took the time to know her.
Loved ones that look forward to seeing her in Heaven include her children, Cassie Blocksom (Michael Smith) of Pine, AZ and Andrew Blocksom of Lisbon, her grandchildren Bryan (Valerie) Shure and Kennedy Knutson, and great-grandchildren Lyla and Lincoln Shure. There are two brothers and one sister, Fred (Lori) Pastore of Leetonia, Ruth (Bill) Heize of Kernville CA, and Joe Pastore of Lisbon.
For now our beloved Harva, let the celebration begin and the trumpets sound, dance with the angels and soar with the eagles. We will be there in a minute. To all of you, we will see you in Heaven.
A celebration of life is being planned, but services are not being held at this time.
The Weber (The Webs) Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
