Lisbon -James Joseph "Jimmy Joe" Gouldsberry, 78, of West Maple Street was pronounced dead at 11:28 PM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Salem Community Hospital.
Born November 18, 1930 in Leetonia, he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Lavina (Stanley) Gouldsberry.
He worked as a machinist at NRM in Columbiana for thirty years, retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and was an avid Professional Bull Riding enthusiast. He also enjoyed flea markets.
Surviving are four children: James Joseph (Debbie) Gouldsberry of Salem, Billy Jo (Lorri) Gouldsberry of Columbiana, Alice Ann Gouldsberry of Elyria, and David Lee Gouldsberry of Lisbon; a sister, Evelyn Brennan of Columbiana; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
His wife, the former Phyllis Ann Bayer, whom he married in 1956, died in 1977. Also deceased are a brother Herbert Hoover Gouldsberry and sisters Virginia Sell and Naomi Lodge.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Betsy Schenk officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
