Columbiana - John Irvin Daugherty, 89 passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
Born December 3, 1927 in Brookville, PA, he was a son of the late John I. and Gladys M. (Harmon) Daugherty.
He was a WW II veteran of the US Army and a member of the Columbiana VFW.
He had worked at Ohio Edison, working his way up from a lineman to supervisor. He retired in 1990, after 37 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife Gilda (Morrow) Daugherty whom he married September 19, 1956; his sons Dr. John (Dawn) Daugherty of Poland and Kevin (Jill) Daugherty of Seville and his grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Megan, and Haley Daugherty.
His siblings Jane, Karolyn, and Allen are deceased.
A committal service will be held at Carmel Achor Cemetery at a later date.
