East Liverpool - Kathleen Salotti, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday evening, May 21, 2014 at Weirton Medical Center.
She was born July 7, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Edward W. and Marie E. (Beckman) Ward, coming to Ohio in 2000.
She had worked as a bookkeeper prior to retirement. Kathleen was a devoted mom, grandma, and big grandma. She loved life and to her, life was family. She also enjoyed crafts and gardening.
She will be dearly missed by her family including her children Joanmarie (Carl) Cook of Rogers, Kathleen Miller of Louisville, and Harry (Rosemary) Salotti of Pitman, NJ; her sister Joan Marie Stanton of Arlington Heights, IL; and grandchildren Carl Cook, Stephanie Finger, Stephen Miller, and Patrick McConnell; and great-grandchildren Alaina, Kiley, Madison, Jaclyn, Matthew, Lee, Carli, and Benjamin as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Stephen Smentkowski and second husband Harry Salotti.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated by the Rev. James Lang at 2:30 PM Saturday at St. George Catholic Church. Calling hours are from 11:00 Am to 2:00 PM
Saturday at the Weber Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
