Kathryn Roberts

Leetonia -        Kathryn M. Roberts, 88, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at 12:31 AM Thursday, February 28, 2019.

She is survived by her husband Arnold Roberts, whom she married February 2, 1963. He was her beacon of light and enjoyed doing everything together. She leaves four children: Judy Roberts-Hawkins of Leetonia, Cathy (Brad) Jones of Columbiana, Roger (Mik) Roberts of Cranbey, PA, and Nancy (Jim) Holloway of Leetonia. There are 10 grandchildren: Paige (Chad) Nestor, Rod McCune, Susan (Kurt) Baker, Bobby Jones, Jeremy (Jamie) Roberts, Nancy (Jon) Rodman, John (Chris) Zarnosky, Mike (Jeannie) Zarnosky, Matt (Lori) Zarnosky, and Steve (Jaime) Zarnosky as well as her dear sister Bo Stone of Canton and a niece, Durane (Scott) Duncan and great-niece Emily (TJ) Schramm and 14 great-grandchildren.

Katie grew up on her parents’ farm and lived her life in Columbiana County, working at Price Fruit Farm for 17 years. She attended Fairfield School. In addition to spending time with her family, Katie loved horses and camping. She and Arnold toured the Western States, camped at Assateague Island, and loved Berlin Lake. They spent 21 winters in their motor home, and loved working at Florida Camp Inn, running the office and general store. Disney was a favorite. She also volunteered for the Family Recovery Center Education Department for 25 years.

She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and a ferocious Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved tending to her flowers, especially sunflowers, feeding the birds and loving her pets, especially Princess. Her family will miss their matriarch but will forever hold her in their hearts.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor John Reed officiating. Calling hours are two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery.
