Laura May (Robinson) Burton

Lisbon -                Laura May Burton, 90, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Continuing Care of Lisbon.

Born August 4, 1928 in Glenmoor, she was a daughter of the late Clarence J. and Bertha Elizabeth (Rambo) Robinson,

She worked as a grill cook at the Appleseed Restaurant and at Crosser’s Diner. She also worked as a cashier at Crooks in Columbiana, Theron’s Market, and Cori & Bud’s Market in Glenmoor.

Survivors include her daughters Constance (Roger) Flory of Lisbon and Deborah Holderbaum and her companion Joe Trussell) of Minerva; a daughter-in-law, Marla Lasko of The Villages, FL; three grandchildren: Christopher (Mandy) Flory of Lisbon, Melia (Wynn) Fogel, and Chad (Stacy) Holderbaum both of Minerva; great-grandchildren: Devyn and Brayden Flory, Madisyn and Ethan Fogel, and Austin and Taylor Holderbaum and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first Husband, Merle R. Esterly and second Husband, Byron M. Burton, her son, Lance CPL Lawrence A. Esterly who died in Vietnam, two grandsons: Michael J. Esterly and Douglas Flory; a son-in-law Kim Holderbaum and her sister Dorothy Tafini and brothers Paul and Clarence Robinson.

A member of Zion Lutheran Church in Deerfield, FL, she was a member of the American Gold Star Mother Memorial Chapter of Ohio, a life member of V.F.W. Post 4111 Auxiliary in Lisbon, the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 18 in East Liverpool. She had been a Cub Scout, Brownie, and Campfire Leader in Columbiana. She loved to do crafts, read, and spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She wintered in Florida for many years and traveled to nearly every state in the union. She was a 1946 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Doerle of Crossroads Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home
