Lisbon- Marcella Inez Kress, 95, formerly of Lisbon, passed away at 1:45 PM Friday, November 18, 2011 at Blossom Nursing Home in Salem.
Born April 17, 1916 in Cherry Valley, PA, she was a daughter of the late Alfred W. and Agnes (Morrison) Bittner.
She managed E.D. Neikirk 5 and 10 Store for five years and then worked as an accountant at Hillyer's Fine Foods for many years.
She was a member of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son Jack Kress of Fremont, IN, daughter Sharon (Thomas) McNeal of Lisbon; and sister Marion Apple of Lisbon; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death in 1961 by her husband Stephen Kress whom she married September 26, 1936. Also deceased are her son Ronald Kress, sisters Marie Rohrbaugh and Alvana Sefton and brothers John, Charles and James Bittner.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Pamela Gable officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.
