Lisbon -Margaret Louise Kesseg, 88, formerly of Salem, was pronounced dead on arrival at Salem Community Hospital at 4:49 PM Friday, June 7, 2013.
Born March 12, 1925 in Forest Hills, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin P. and Louise M. (Hershey) Baker.
She worked as an assembler operator at Sebring Container for 23 years, retiring in 1987.
She proudly served our country as a member of the WACS in the U.S. Army during WW II. And was a member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church as well as Lisbon Eagles Auxiliary Aerie # 2216.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Alfred 'Jake' DeSellem and John O. Kesseg, a daughter Peggy Lou Erbe, and brother Dr. Philo Baker, brother Edward Baker, and sisters Virginia Johnson and Alice Hisey.
Survivors include her son Gary (Karen) Desellem of Leetonia, daughter Sherri Brown of Lisbon,; 2 grandchildren: Neil (Tina) Brown, and Matt( Aimee) DeSellem, 3 great-grandchildren: Travis and Justin DeSellem and Kelsi Brown.
The service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Weber Funeral Home with Herman McHan officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
