Marian Agnes Ramsey

April 6, 1919 — February 24, 2009

Lisbon -Marian A. Ramsey, 89, of S.R 30 died at 2:10 PM Tuesday, February 24,

2009 at Salem Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.



Born April 6, 1919 in Hancock County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ralph

W. and Olive A. (Moore) McSwegin.



She attended West Liberty State Teachers College and worked as a teacher in

Hancock County at one time.



A member of New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, she was active in the Women's

Association and taught Sunday School for many years. In addition, she served on the

Lisbon School Board for sixteen years.



Surviving are her husband, Gregg L. Ramsey, whom she married June 14, 1942;

children Judy A. (Gary) Pike, Nancy (Robert) Dickey, and John (Jane) Ramsey all of

Lisbon; 7 grandchildren: Bradley Pike, Sarah Blocksom, Benjamin Dickey, Ann Metzlar,

Matthew Ramsey, Mark Ramsey, and Todd Ramsey; as well as 2 great-grandchildren.



Two brothers, Robert and Merl McSwegin, and a grandson, Scott Pike, are

deceased.



Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church

with the Rev. Mark Wilds officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may

call from 9:30 to 10:45 AM Saturday at the church.
