Lisbon - Marie G. Hall, 86, passed way Thursday afternoon at her home following a lengthy illness.
Born March 9, 1929 in Gastonia, NC, she was a daughter of the late Lon J. and Mary Jane (King) Freeman.
She had worked on the Hall Family Farm most of her life, providing for her family’s needs and future.
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and reading. In addition, she was an avid flower gardener and vegetable gardener.
Survivors include four children: Tom. E. (Patty) Hall of Lisbon, Teena A. Baker of Valley View, TX, Tony R. Hall of Youngstown, and Tamara J. (Edward) Sabol of Lisbon. There are two brothers, Bill (Sarah) Freeman of Griffin, GA and Don Freeman of Stockbridge, GA, and two sisters, Willa Mae Rogers off Murphy, NC and Maxine (James) Allen, of Griffin, TX, eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy R. Hall in 2000. Also deceased are a son, Terry M. Hall, and siblings Olive Harkness, Katherine Young, Frank, RV, and Harry Freeman.
The funeral will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Quesenberry of Community Hospice officiating. Calling hours are 2 to 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
