Lisbon -Marion K. Apple, 81, passed away at 7:25 PM Saturday, June 1, 2013 at The Covington in East Palestine.

Born July 14, 1931 in Houston, PA, she was a daughter of the late Alfred W. and Agnes (Morrison) Bittner.

A graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, she was once a member of St. Jacobs United Church of Christ and later a member of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach, as well as swimming and gardening.

Survivors include her children Bobbie (Tom) Weikart of Lisbon, Kim (Michael) Maes of North Myrtle Beach, and Bret Apple of Salem; a sister, LaVerne McKean of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren: Ryan (Gwen) Weikart of Lisbon, K.C. Weikart of Toledo, and Devin Maes of Columbia, SC; as well as a great-granddaughter, Kenley Weikart.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Brinker, in 1951 and Kenneth Apple in 2000. Also deceased are her sisters Marie Rohrbaugh, Marcella Kress, and Alvana Sefton; and brothers Chuck, Al, and Jim Bittner.

There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Lisbon First United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Pamela Gable. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the Weber Funeral Home.
