Salem -Mary Jane Chamberlain, 88, formerly of Lisbon died at 5:20 PM Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Salem Community Hospital.
Born August 31, 1920 in Wellsburg, WV, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Allen) Darrah.
A homemaker, she was Protestant by faith and had attended the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene.
She was a member of V.F.W. Post 4111 Auxiliary and was a charter member of F.O.E. Aerie 2216 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her sons Fred Huisjack of Follansbee, WV and Howard Dean Chamberlain of Alexandria, VA; sisters: Peggy Blosser of Wellsburg, WV, and Elsie Kerr of Austintown; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marion Dean Chamberlain in 2006. Also deceased are brothers Arthur, Albert, Peter, and Clarence Darrah and sisters Hazel DiSerio, Frances Crane, Pearl Slusher, and Delphia Darrah
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Jamie Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, Avella, PA. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
