Lisbon -Orin Goddard Robinson, 84, passed away at 5:08 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Salem Community Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born September 18, 1926 in Lisbon to the late James and Mary (Snow) Robinson.
A life-long resident of Lisbon, he had worked as a mail carrier and as a truck driver for M and T Trucking Company until retiring in 1979.
An Army veteran, he had attended the Lisbon Assembly of God for many years and was a former member of React.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Ann (Horner) Robinson whom he married August 3, 1955; three children: Deborah Jo (Merle) Schreffler, III of Lisbon, MaryAnn Robinson of East Liverpool, and Jacqueline Jean (Denny) Hayes of Lisbon; sister Alice (Ray) Straub of Orlando, FL; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were a son Elson Henry Robinson; sisters Valley Hough, Mary Cusick, and Flossie Carlisle; and brothers Harry, George, Jim, and Ed Robinson.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Lisbon Assembly of God Church with Pastor Greg Pennington officiating. Friends may call for two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.
