Lisbon - Paul E. Mitchell, 90, passed away early Wednesday morning at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Born February 26, 1926 in Springwater, NY, he was a son of the late Delbert and Dora (Richards) Mitchell.
He worked as an assembler at Chester Hoist for more than 25 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a past member of the First United Methodist Church of Lisbon.
Survivors include his daughter Karen Mitchell of Columbus and his son Jeffrey of Akron, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren as well as his very dear friends Donna and Erica Ritteger and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie (Ward) Mitchell in 2002. Also deceased are his sister Mary Kimble and brothers Fred, Alfred, and Lester Mitchell.
The family extends a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Salem Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Snyder of Beaver Creek Ministries officiating. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday. Burial will be at Lisbon Cemetery.
