Lisbon -Raymond Franklin Marlatt, 89, of Morris Road died at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 1, 2010 at his home.
Ray was born August 25, 1920 in Elkrun Township to the late Clayton J. and Lala P. (Crawford) Marlatt.
He worked as a member of the management at Reliance Electric - Columbiana Pump Division for thirty-two years, retiring in 1982.
A lifelong resident of Signal, Ray graduated from Lisbon High School in 1938 and served as a reconnaissance mapping pilot during WW II completing his service with the rank of Major.
Ray was a 70 year member of the First Christian Church in Lisbon. He was a member of Signal Community Club, American Legion Post 275, the Good Sam RV club, the National Rifle Association and the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include three children: Laurie (Mark) Steeb of Columbiana, James C. Marlatt of Lisbon, and Thomas R. Marlatt of East Liverpool and grandchildren Nina J. and Anna K. Steeb.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nina (Parry) Marlatt in 2002 and a sister Marie (Chamberlain) Dutterer.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Lisbon First Christian Church with the Rev. Milton Butler officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Kemble Cemetery.
