Lisbon - Richard L. (Rick) Miller, 66, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday at Salem Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Born January 5, 1949 in Hanoverton, he was the son of the late Richard M. and Irene (Ridgeway) Miller.
He worked as a machinist at Chester Hoist for 42 years.
Known as Fat Boy, he was a United States Navy Veteran and had attended the First United Methodist Church of Lisbon. He was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 2216, V.F.W. Post 4111 in Lisbon, and American Legion Post 131 in Leetonia. He loved cars, motorcycles, the lottery, tattoos, and life in general.
Survivors include his 6 children: Todd Miller and Jeff Miller of Cape Coral, FL, Scott Peterson of Palm Bay, FL, John Peterson of Rogers, Lori (Chris) Coleman of Warsaw, OH, and Molly Wolfe of Lisbon. There are 9 grandchildren, and also one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Myers) Miller in 2010, his aunt, Millie Huck, a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday at Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Tina Gallaher officiating. Calling hours are 2 hours prior to the service.
