Lisbon - Richard M. Nichol, 81, of Trinity Church Road went home to be with the Lord at 12:02 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Hospice House.
Born September 11, 1931 in East Liverpool, he was a son of the late William Merrel and Laura Marie (Moore) Nichol.
He worked as a welder for Bliss and Fordees for many years.
Dick was a member Trinity Friends Church, its building committee, and the Lisbon Ruritan Club. He enjoyed farming.
Survivors include his wife Nancy V. (Campbell) Nichol whom he married December 19, 1959; two children, Tracy (Roger) Jones of Salineville and Brent (Kristy) Nichol of Medina and a grandson Ryan Nichol.
He was preceded in death by his son Mark, and three sisters: Jane Nichol, Alice Soltysiak, and Barbara Ann Glass.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Jones of the church officiating. Private burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown, PA. Calling hours are 1 PM to 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512.
