Lisbon- Robert E. Bell, 86, of Guilford Lake went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning August 6, 2011 at his home.
Born July 20, 1925 in Elizabeth, WV, he was a son of the late Raymond and Mary (Valentine) Bell.
He worked at National Steel Weirton Division and retired in 1982 as a supervisor of the powerhouse.
Robert proudly served his country in the Army during the World War II. A member of the Armor of God Worship Center, he loved his home at Guilford Lake, fishing, and especially his family.
Survivors include 4 children: Lennis (Raymond) McCullough of Pittsburgh, Dennis (Joyce) Bell of Lisbon, Roberta (Robert) Hoover of New Cumberland, WV, and Frank (Donna) Bell of Lisbon; a brother Ralph (Isabel) Bell of Weirton, WV; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Helen Jean Lewis, whom he married February 24, 1945; and siblings Flo Whitington, Hilda Lavender, Charles Bell, and Nellie Mae Keenan.
A private family service will be held Monday, August 8, 2011 with Pastor Robert Hoover of the Armor of God Worship Center officiating. Burial will be in Woodsdale Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Weber Funeral Home.
