Lisbon- Robert Lange Hart, 89, passed away peacefully under hospice care at Salem Regional Medical Center on Thursday, March 31, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 29, 1926.
He graduated from Salineville High School and entered the Army and served on the European front in World War II.
He married his wife, the former Gloria Marra, in 1950, and they had sixty-five wonderful years of marriage. They had two daughters.
Bob was a mechanic at his family’s garage in Salineville for more than fifty years until his retirement in 1997.
He was a lifelong Presbyterian and a faithful choir member for many years.
Bob was preceded in death by his younger daughter, Barbara, his parents, two brothers, and his half-sister.
He leaves his wife, daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Craig Anderson, and grandchildren Allyson (Ed Wycuff), Andrew Anderson, and Ashley Anderson. He has three great-granddaughters, Ella, Finley, and Piper. He also leaves many brothers and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who truly cherished his family.
Services will be held at 12:30 PM Monday at New Lisbon Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tom Allmon and Rev. Cindy Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are one hour prior to the service.
