Columbiana -Ruby Eileen Wright, 79, formerly of New Cumberland, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:35 AM Monday, March 7, 2011 at Salem Community Hospital.
Born January 23, 1932 in Deep Valley, PA, she was a daughter of the late Victor E. and Pearl A. (Barnhart) Wright.
She was a homemaker and was a long-time member of Tomlinson Run Church of Christ. She was a 1951 graduate of Burgettstown High School.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen E. (John) Benson of Lisbon and Robbi (Rob) Taber of Columbiana; siblings Charles, Frederick, Clair, Victor, Larry, and Garry Wright, and Rhonda Smitsky; grandchildren Jennifer, Kimberly, and Jamie Benson, Aaron Wright, David Jones, and Dylan and Eric Taber.
She was preceded in death in 1991by her husband Robert V. Wright whom she married May 20, 1955. Also deceased is a sister Nancy Thompson.
A committal service will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens with Pam Gable of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church officiating.
The family will gather following the service at Tucker United Methodist Church in Florence, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are being handled by the Weber Funeral Home.
