He was born May 13, 1927 in Salem, the son of the late Harold and Lena (Day) Albright.
Rusty is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 55 years, Betty, and his daughter, Karen, who he adored, as well as his nieces Connie (Jerry) Beltempo, Cathy (Jim) Restifo, and Christy (Ed) James and nephew Terry Thomas
Except for the time he spent in the Marine Corps during the Korean conflict, he lived his entire life in the Lisbon area.
Rusty was proud to be a Teamster. He retired in 1993 as Secretary-Treasurer of Teamster Local #92, Canton, Ohio.
Rusty served the Columbiana County Port Authority as Chairman of the Board of Directors for 33 years. He was a 63 year member of American Legion Post 275, and a 54 year member of F & AM Lodge #65. Another favorite organization was the Shriners, member of both Al Koran and the Youngstown Shrine Club. When he was able, he enjoyed helping transport patients to their hospital in Erie, PA.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Weber Funeral Home with Rev. Cindy Carlisle of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church presiding. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512 or to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
