East Palestine -Ruth A. Boyd, 69, of The Covington, formerly of Lisbon, was joined in Heaven Monday evening January 18, 2010 with her late parents Ralph and Vera (Duckers) Grubb and stands with her sisters Donnis and Doris. She will be sadly missed by her remaining sisters Carol Horton and Norma Spiker of Kansas and Nancy Sullivan of Missouri. She will be greatly missed by her one love Kenneth D. Boyd and their four children: Vicki ( Bob) Garwood, Debbie (Greg) Mayernik, Steve (Steph Cottrill) Boyd, and Pam (Ron) Flory. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was born June 13, 1940 in Horton, KS and worked as a nurse's aide at Pleasant View Nursing Home for 12 years.
She was a member of New Lisbon Presbyterian Church and was a former Campfire Girls leader. She helped form the Lisbon Girls' Softball League and enjoyed watching the sun rise as well as working with crafts.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Wilds officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
