Leetonia- Ruth E. Grimm, 91, passed away at 12:15 PM Thursday at the Vista Center in Lisbon.
Born September 18, 1924 in Macedonia, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (Burnz) Raymond.
A homemaker, she worked as an assembler of airplane parts and was an airplane spotter during and following WW II.
She was and avid gardener, and she loved African Violets. While living at Midway Lake she loved to fish and share fish dinners with family. Later in life she enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles, and feeding and watching wild birds. She belonged to the United Methodist Church most of her life, and her home church was The First United Methodist in Lisbon Ohio.
Survivors include her three children, Evelyn Lewis of Cortland, William (Valerie) Grimm of East Liverpool, and Charles E. “Chip” (Linda) Grimm of Leetonia; a brother Frank (Evelyn) Raymond of Macedonia; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a great-great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marcel Grimm in 1991, a granddaughter Kimberly Lewis, grandson, Matt Adams, two brothers, Gene and Ernest J. Raymond, and a sister, Jeanette T. Thompson.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Weber Funeral Home. The funeral and burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, with the Rev. Tina Gallaher officiating.
