Columbiana - Arthur R. Biscan, 86, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 9, 2015 at the Vista Center in Lisbon.
Born October 14, 1928 in Wheeling, WV, he was a son of the late Steve and Dora (Tumbry) Biscan.
Arthur retired in 1990 from D.W. Dickey where he worked in maintenance. He had also worked at Lisbon Lumber and Brow & Williams Construction Co.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 2216, as well as the V.F.W., and was a life member of American Legion Post 275. Art was an avid bowler, having bowled several 300 games, and was a member of the Salem Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He was also an avid golfer and member at Copeland.
Art was preceded in death by his longtime partner, Janet Flugan and his older brother Ivan, and two older sisters Fran and Dottie. He is survived by multiple nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral service at 10:00 AM Saturday at Weber Funeral Home with the Pastor Greg Akers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery.
