Lisbon - Sylvanna J. Mitchell, 94, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Vista Centre.
Born July 4, 1918 in Alliance, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Tirza Josephine (Morris) Perkins.
She was a homemaker and had been the partner in Paul Mitchell Excavating.
A 1936 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, she was a member of Iva Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and the Goshen Grange Extension.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
Survivors include her daughters Carole Stefanish and Patricia (Ross) Arnfield, both of Lisbon; five grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Her husband Paul E. Mitchell, whom she married June 3, 1936, died August 10, 2000.
A private service was held yesterday. Burial was in Lisbon Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the Weber Funeral Home.
