Negley - Thelma Jean Dailey, 83, passed away at 9:20 PM Tuesday at Salem Community Hospital.Born November 23, 1925 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Ruth T. (Baker) McCann.A homemaker, she had worked as a cook at the county nursing home and Beaver Local High School at one time.Mrs. Dailey was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus and was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and its women's club, the Civic Association of Signal, and the former Negley Eastern Star No. 565.Survivors include her husband, Bert Hassan Dailey whom she married July 10, 1943; 3 sons, Dennis H. (Janice) Dailey of Covington, GA, David W. (Joanne) Dailey of Salem, and Mark L. (Saundra) Dailey of Lisbon; grandchildren James H. (Colleen) Dailey of Georgia, Marki Lin Dailey of New Springfield, and Danielle Nicole Dailey of Covington, GA; and 2 great-grandsons, Camron and Brandon Dailey both of Georgia.Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Fayette Grose officiating. Burial will be in Kimble Cemetery.
