Lisbon – Van Wayne Possage, 64 , of 13333 West Point Rd., Lisbon, died Wednesday morning at Hospice House in Poland.
Van was born March 5,1952 in Salem a son of the late Donald Henry Possage,I and Ruth Virginia McCauley Possage, and lived in this area all his life.
He was employed as a truck driver working for D&V Trucking of Columbiana. He was a 1972 graduate of Beaver Local High School. He was a member of the West Point Church of the Nazarene and the SNPJ Lodge of West Point.
He is survived by his wife, the former Teresa McAllister, to whom he was married July 30, 1982; 3 sons, Van Wayne Possage, Jr. of McHenry, IL, Scott Allen Rice of Lisbon, and Adam Michael Possage of West Point; 2 daughters, Beth (Jerry) Beverly of Lisbon, and Sarah (Jonathan) Garn of Lisbon; 2 brothers Anthony H .Possage of West Point, and Lynn D. (Joanne) Possage of Monaca, PA; 2 sisters, Ruth Pollock of Auburnbale, FL, and Linda (Richard ) Romischer of Aliquippa, PA; and a granddaughter Riley Brooke Possage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Van was preceded in death by a daughter Lori Anne in 1987, and 4 brothers, Donald H. Possage II, Robert G. Possage, Bruce A. Possage, and John Possage.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21,2016 at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Simms, Pastor of the Church officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Burial will take place at Lisbon Cemetery at a later date.
