Lisbon -Wayne 'Allen' Cottrill, Jr., 73, of Lisbon passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at his home.
Born November 7, 1937 in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Wayne A. and Florence H. (Farmer) Cottrill.
He served over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1976. He received the Bronze Star as well as numerous other awards while serving in Vietnam. He was a1955 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
He was a past member of the Columbiana County Sheriff's Department and the Lisbon Police Department, retiring in 1996.
Survivors include 3 sons: Allen W. (Christine F.) Cottrill of Lisbon, Willis B. Cottrill of Indiana, and Stuart J. Cottrill of Florida; and a daughter, Stephanie Cottrill of Calcutta; 4 granddaughters: Jennifer Marie Cottrill of Columbus, Shantel Cottrill of Moon Twp., PA, Niki Lynn Cottrill of Florida, Sierra Elizabeth Cottrill of Lisbon; and 2 grandsons: Kyle A. Cottrill of Lisbon, Caden James Cottrill of Florida.
His passion in life was his family.
Services will be he held at 11:00 AM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Sinclair of the Lisbon First Christian Church officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours will be observed 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
