Lisbon - Wilford Henry 'Willie' Culler, 84, of Spruce Street died at 5:45 AM Monday, February 27, 2012 at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
Born May 7, 1927 in Sebring, he was a son of the late Harmon Ray and Ida Belle (Grise) Culler.
He retired from GM Lordstown in 1992 after 26 years.
He put the Lord first in his life and was a member of the Beaver Street Church of Christ where he served as church treasurer for many years. He was on the board of directors of the Northeast Ohio Christian Youth Camp and was an active member and past president of the Lisbon Ruritan Club and served as a Ruritan Zone Governor. His dedication to Ruritan earned him the prestigious Tom Downing Award in 2004. Willie also spent many hours each week volunteering at the Way Station in Columbiana and delivering Meals on Wheels. In addition, he loved to sing and was a member of the Lisbon Community Chorus.
Survivors include his children Glenn (Pam) Culler of Columbus, Larry of Petersburg, Bonnie (Mark) Phillips of Pleasant Plain, OH, and Donna Culler of Lisbon; sisters Marieta Carroll of Alliance, and Ruth Ann Bartholomew of Columbiana; his brother Eugene Culler of Salem; 8 grandchildren: Megan Decker, Natalie Thomas, Joshua, Tobey, and Zachary Culler, Seth Phillips, Hannah Phillips, and Davis Culler; and 3 great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Mary (Hadley) Culler died in 1994, and his second wife, Evelyn (Nold) Culler died in 2008. He was also preceded in death by his son Roger, sisters Pearl McPherson and Carol Guethle, and Brothers Floyd and Melvin Culler.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Beaver Street Church of Christ with Mr. Aaron Burch officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Weber Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to any of Willie's favorite causes.
