Wilhelmina Fae (Gears) Cain

March 21, 1922 — October 29, 2015

On October 29, 2015 at 1pm, Wilhelmina ‘Miney’ Fae Cain went to heaven to be with her Lord. She was born on March 21, 1922 on Sherman Street in Lisbon to William Henry and Emma Rogers Gears.  Miney lived her entire life in Lisbon on Sherman Street and graduated from David Anderson School in 1940. She married William Bryan Cain Jr. on August 23, 1946.

Besides her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her sisters; Phyllis Crihfield; Sarah Irene Gears; Mary Gears; Margarette Gears, her son in law Gentry Rogers and great-granddaughter Timi Rose Cain.

The Cain Family together ran their small store, Cain’s Grocery for 20 years.  Miney volunteered for 35 years at the Salem Community Hospital. Miney worked for the US government in Dayton, OH during World War II and she also worked at Hoppes Tire in Salem.   Miney was a member and actively involved at the First Christian Church for 93 years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her sister Bernice Mason, Lisbon,  Her children Candy Cain Rogers, South Carolina, Bryan and Robin Cain, Alliance, Oh, Tim Cain and Viola Koehnlein, Girard, OH, and Jeff Cain, Lisbon, OH, and her good friends Shirley and Jim Garrison. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  The Cain family would like to thank the Salem Community ICU staff and her two favorite nurses. Kelly and Sharon.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Mon at Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas Shoaff officiating. Burial will be at Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours are one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
