West Point -William John Gbur, 76, passed away at 7:55 AM Thursday at Alliance Community Hospital.
Born July 20, 1933 in West Point, he was a son of the late Steve Gbur, Sr. and Anna (Topercer) Gbur.
He worked as a warehouse manager at Homer Laughlin China for 44 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his sister Mary Burligar of Newell, WV.
Preceding him in death were 5 sisters: Katie Koches, Theresa Ammon, Pauline Krulik, Virginia Runkle, and Anna Slezak; and 3 brothers: Steve, Frank, and John Gbur.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Edwards of St. George Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
