Lisbon- Willis Coleman, Jr., 82, passed away at 11:03 PM Sunday at Salem Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born March 17, 1934 in Lisbon, he was a son of the late Willis and Garnetta (Hephner) Coleman.
He retired from Columbiana Boiler Company after 44 years.
Known to many as “Squirt,” he had served as mayor and councilman in Lisbon as well as a member of the Shade Tree Commission, Cemetery Board, and Fire Department. He was a member and Deacon at the Lisbon First Christian Church. Willis loved to hunt and fish and was happiest spending time at his hunting lodge, “Buckeye Lodge,” in the mountains of Pennsylvania.
He was a member of New Lisbon Lodge No. 65 F&AM, 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite of the Valley of Steubenville, northern Masonic district, and coached little league baseball.
Survivors include his loving wife Marlyn (Peterson) Coleman, whom he married November 15, 1953 and his children, Cynthia (Mark) Barrett of Salem and Jerry (Tracy) Coleman of Osceola, IN. There are also three grandchildren: Ryan (Chelsea) Barrett, Brandon (Jenny) Coleman, and David Coleman and a great-grandchild on the way.
His brothers Floyd and Donald Coleman preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Shoaff of the First Christian Church of Lisbon officiating. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery.  Calling hours are 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday. There will be a Masonic service at 5:45PM Prior to calling hours. There is an additional hour of visitation one hour prior to the service Friday.
