Kensington - Winfred Arlin Aderhold, 79, passed away Monday evening at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Born December 10, 1935 in Cullman, AL, he was a son of the late John W. and Lillian (Smith) Aderhold.
He had worked as a bread salesman and delivery ma for Nickles Bakery for 33 ½ years, retiring in 1992 and was the last person in the United States to deliver bread door-to-door.
He served as the Carroll County Bee Association president. His pride was having bees, selling honey, and teaching people about honey bees. He also enjoyed going to Enon Valley to listen to polka music. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed local ¼ mile dirt track races, demolition derbies, and fishing. In addition, he will be remembered for always being there to help family and friends and support everyone.
Survivors include his nine children: Opal Duke and Johnny Aderhold, both of Kentucky, Danny of South Carolina, Robert of Florida, Kevin and his wife Gudrun of Kentucky, Karen (Garry) Rogers, Elaine (Todd) Rhoads and Arlin, all of Ohio as well as his step-daughter Billie Jo (Frank) Anderson of North Carolina. There are 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Pasco) Aderhold May 8, 2004. Also deceased are his brother, Wayne, and a sister, Lavern Brown.
The funeral will be at 11 AM Friday at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald McCourt officiating. Burial will be in West Beaver Cemetery. Calling hours are 7:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
